Online parent support for child anxiety (MA + PSYPACT)
A weekly, collaborative space to bring more calm into your home.
Parents often carry so much — worry about their child, pressure to keep the peace, uncertainty around how to respond, and frustration when what used to work no longer helps.
SPACE-informed support gives parents a grounded, predictable place to slow down, understand patterns, and build strategies that reduce anxiety-driven cycles at home.
I work compassionately and collaboratively to help you make small shifts that have a big impact — strengthening communication, fostering independence, and helping your whole family feel more connected.
Parent support
Guidance for parents of children dealing with anxiety, OCD-related behaviors, and emotional struggles.
Together, we focus on reducing overwhelm, increasing confidence, and creating more supportive family patterns at home.
What is SPACE?
SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is an evidence-based, parent-focused approach that helps caregivers respond more effectively to a child’s anxiety or OCD-related behaviors.
Instead of placing pressure on a child to change, SPACE empowers parents to reduce accommodations, strengthen supportive communication, and create calmer daily rhythms.
This approach helps children build independence while helping parents feel less stuck, less stressed, and more confident.
Who is this for?
Parent support is helpful if your child or teen experiences:
Anxiety, avoidance, worry, or panic
OCD-related behaviors or reassurance seeking
Difficulty separating, transitioning, or trying new things
School refusal or high conflict around routines
Real-life examples:
Your child won’t sleep alone unless you stay in the room
You need to text back instantly or they panic
They refuse school unless certain rituals are followed
Your child needs to check, confirm, or get the same questions answered repeatedly
What we work on
Reducing accommodations that accidentally reinforce anxiety
Increasing supportive, effective communication
Understanding patterns that maintain anxiety or OCD
Building calmer, more predictable routines
Responding to anxiety episodes with clarity and confidence
What you can expect
SPACE is not about blaming parents or forcing children into anxiety-provoking situations — it focuses on strengthening your role as a supportive guide by providing:
A non-judgmental space focused on your wellbeing, not your mistakes
Practical steps that fit your family’s values and communication style
Clear guidance so you know exactly what to do between sessions
Support that builds your confidence, not your stress
Parents often report feeling more confident and less reactive, while children become more independent and less anxious over time.
